As a prelude to writing their English compositions, fifth and sixth grade English Class pupils participated in three team-building exercises today. Groups were selected randomly.
The first task was to build the highest tower possible using marshmallows and spaghetti in ten minutes. As the pictures show, the structures had lots of variety. The winning tower was 60 cm tall and was built without any clear plan.

The towers took on many different forms.

The next task was for groups of 4 pupils to cooperatively manipulate four strings attached to a rubber band to move cups to form a pyramid of cups. The starting point was six cups, stacked in pairs, bottom to bottom.
