During the last two days before Easter break second graders made Easter eggs in math class and craft class as well. To complete their unit on geometry graders practiced how to draw symmetrical patterns on Easter eggs. Then they beautifully (and very carefully!) coloured their symmetrical eggs.
They also made a three dimensional egg by using water balloons, glue, water and paper raffia. After letting balloons dry overnight, they broke the balloons, so there was only egg-shaped paper string left. Then they decorated those with feathers. The second graders were so fast that they also made Easter cards full of many different kinds of Easter chicks! We wish all of our blog followers and readers a very Happy Easter!
