During the last class of the school day English Class fifth graders were given an opportunity to chill out and create stress-free scribble art outdoors in the park in front of our school. The idea was to move the oil pastel in a continuous motion around the paper without lifting it from the paper.
Some scribbled frenetically while others let their crayon loop and flow over the surface of the paper. Pupils were also encouraged to colour their abstract art. The relaxing soundtrack of whale calls and whistles had lots of competition from traffic and other groups of pupils that were nearby, but the exercise left a positive impression on everyone involved nonetheless.
