We Love Diversity!

We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. ~Maya Angelou

English Class pupils are very proud of their diversity. In the photo collage above they are admiring a heart mural to which each and every pupil contributed a beautiful, unique heart. Together they formed one great big magnificent heart.

All of the pupils in the English Classes, from first graders on up to sixth graders, made a heart using whatever technique they themselves chose, as well as materials of their choice. The only stipulation was that the finished product be 15 cm. X 15 cm.

There were collaged hearts, hearts done in water colours, chalk pastels, charcoal, oil pastels and pencil. There were origami hearts, printed hearts, mosaic hearts, spotted hearts, dotted hearts, striped hearts, stitched hearts and more.

The glorious diversity of these hearts is a direct reflection of the children who are in the English Classes. Together both the children and their hearts form a rich tapestry. See for yourself.

Together we are as one.
