English Class second graders experienced an ice skating lesson today that they will likely remember for the rest of their lives. Professional ice hockey player Niklas Hagman shared some skating tips both on and off the ice with his son and his son’s classmates. Niklas Hagman has played ice hockey internationally, including on a few famous teams in the NHL. He has won medals representing Finland at several world championships and even in the Olympics. At present he plays for the Jokerit in the KHL.

Hagman demonstrated how fast he could skate and then challenged the children to a fast paced game of “Who’s Afraid of the Ice Man? The children were fast and fearless! There certainly are some awesome skaters in the English Class second grade, including Hagman’s own son.
