Hunting for Insects in Third Grade

English Class third graders are learning all about insects in their environmental studies class. What better way to learn about the parts of an insect but to examine them under a microscope? First the third graders hunted for bugs around the schoolyard.

Then they went indoors to see the parts of an insect up close. The pupils learned about the head, the thorax, the abdomen and the three pairs of legs that are part of every insect with their teacher, Mr. Juho.
